Luckyboy
The mussle pass is like the pass in cards. Don't really need to know it. Trust me...
But since you asked. I find for me that the little finger side of my hand just holds the coin in place, its my thumb side is where all the torque comes from. If anything your thumb would look funny not your pinkey....lol
This is a tough sliehgt to explain in words..just keep practising and concentrate on leaving the pinkey down. Practice is where its at.
But I would'nt worry to much about being able to do it. It does'nt make you a better coin man.
If I have time maybe I
ll make a vid for you, on how I do it....let me know if your interested.
good luck have fun and don't give up.
Tim

it's easy... get some one to say where in the hand it is going til be.. and then you do it over and over and over again!!! that it
There is a lot more to then doing it over and over again. I have seen magician do it and it look like crap. John Cornelius himself teaching the proper way to do a muscle pass in detail. If you are going to learn something, learn it right.
Have a good one. D

it's a beautiful move...the only street worthy use of it is the anti gravity coin trick...

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #b4b4b4"they're right for christ sake dont toss it from your mp hand...it destroys the effect.

Actually, that's the only way NOT to do it, in my opinion. You totally expose the muscle pass when you do "the coin that falls up".
It is obviously just a matter or opinion, but in THIS coin worker's opinion, it is better used as a SECRET move.

Though I am a big fan of subtle uses of a move, and I generally think implied magic is stronger than visual magic, I think the muscle pass used in the anti-gravity effect is a good one. If done well, the muscle pass is not exposed at all. One tip is to turn the side of the hand that does the muscle pass toward the audience so that they see the back of the thumb. This hides the move and gives the magical appearance of a coin falling upward. This opinion is really based on what I have heard laypeople say who saw this trick. It plays very strong on them and is one of the things they will remember for always.

I'm sorry, but I also have to disagree, like you said, it's a matter of opinion. I´ve performed the anti-gravity coin effect in the street and it really shocks a lot of people. Even if some heckler thinks that your hand is doing "something" to make the coin go up, o even if they actually see a small movement of your thumb, they can´t understand how you make the coin go up, hell even I coudn't understand it when I saw it for the first time.
Of course, if you are going to do it, better do it right, with the best angle and having practiced a lot.
Noblezada's DVD is good but the think I didn´t like is that he recomends to learn and perfom the muscle pass with only one type of coin, he uses a big one. I think that the best way to use the muscle pass at it's full potential is being able to do it with different sized coin, or even something else like a bottle cap.
Just my opinion

I must agree, the muscle pass isn't something that must be known or learned to do a great deal of magic. It is more for show than anything. Better off learning effects that have more than one use. To master one trick is just that. But to master many is much more.
